What size speakers does my car take?
It depends on the make, model and year, and the front doors, rear doors and parcel shelf often take different sizes. 6.5 inch round and 6x9 oval are common, but many cars use their own sizes. Send us your car details and we confirm what fits.
Should I get coaxial or component speakers?
Coaxial speakers have the tweeter built in and drop into the factory position, so they are the simplest upgrade. Component speakers have a separate tweeter and crossover for a clearer sound stage but take longer to fit. For most daily drivers, good coaxials in the front doors are the best first step.
Do I need an amplifier for new speakers?
Not usually. Most replacement speakers sound clearly better on a head unit's built-in power. An amplifier makes sense when you want more volume and control, or are adding a subwoofer.
Will new speakers work with my factory stereo?
Usually yes. If your car has a factory amplifier or a premium sound system, we check the speaker impedance and wiring before we quote.
