Why hard-wire a dash cam instead of using the lighter socket?
Hard-wiring hides the cable, frees up your 12V socket, and lets the camera use parking mode. It is a much tidier and more reliable setup.
Can you fit a front and rear dash cam?
Yes. We run the rear camera cable neatly to the back of the car and connect it to the front unit.
Will parking mode drain my battery?
We use a hard-wire kit with low-voltage cut-off that stops drawing power before your battery gets too low, so your car still starts.
