Honda Fit Stereo Upgrade: CarPlay, Bluetooth and the Radio Code

19 October 2026

Most Honda Fits on NZ roads are Japanese imports, sold new here as the Jazz, and they usually arrive with a Japanese radio or navigation unit. The dash takes a double DIN unit with a Honda fascia kit, so a CarPlay and Android Auto head unit is an easy swap, and a reversing camera can go in at the same visit.

Does the Honda Fit have Bluetooth or CarPlay?

Some Japanese units have Bluetooth, but the menus are in Japanese. Most do not have Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. A new head unit gives you Bluetooth, CarPlay and Android Auto in English.

What fits

A double DIN head unit with a Honda fascia kit. Our Honda Fit page has the details, and the stereo fit checker covers other Honda models.

Radio code

Many Honda units, including dealer-fitted Gathers units, ask for a code after the battery is disconnected. See what to do when the radio asks for a code.

Language and FM band

Japanese units cover a lower FM band and usually stay in Japanese. See changing a Japanese car radio to English and the FM band expander guide.
